Hello! I’m Theresa.

My career in the wine industry spans 15 years, helping wineries, importers and distributors turn their marketing challenges into successes. My corporate wine experience includes 13 years with the renowned luxury brands of Maisons Marques & Domaines, the exclusive portfolio of Champagne Louis Roederer, Domaines Ott, Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Dominus Estate, and many other premium labels. As Director of Marketing Operations, I was responsible for supplier relations, national meetings and events, and marketing campaigns aligned with sales across the portfolio.  The earlier years of my career started at a San Francisco PR agency, where I gained a foundation of storytelling and media relations.

How I joined the industry.

At the time of securing my first interview in the industry, I was on a professional hiatus in Santiago, Chile, searching for the next chapter. The wine industry struck me immediately for its international network of individuals who could bond immediately over a dinner table. Since then I have had the opportunity to work side by side with winery owners, winemakers, and marketing principals on wide-ranging projects for some of the most respected properties and brands in the business.  Managing projects and approaching new challenges with this community is my driving force.

My inspiration.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, and earned my BS from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (SLO) on California’s Central Coast.  The highlight of my university experience was living with a wonderful host family in Spain who introduced me to the beauty of languages and the art of hospitality.  This experience sparked my interest in food, wine, and the power of communication across cultures.

A bit more about me.

My home is in Oakland, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area, with my husband and two daughters.  We purchased a worn-down Eichler home and updated it to showcase its original beauty in modern times. My favorite room is an open-air space in the middle of the house that is perfect for having a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. In my free time, you can often find me jogging nearby trails, spending time with my extended family, or participating in my daughters’ school and sporting events.  I love catching up with old friends and dreaming about future travel destinations.
